Mother’s Day is Sunday, so there is still plenty of time for procrastinators to get busy. Consumer Reports magazine, published by Yonkers-based Consumers Union, has created an online Mother’s Day Guide to help select the perfect gift for mom.
The Web site has recommendations in traditional categories such as jewelry, chocolates, wines, flowers, food baskets and gift cards. There’s also advice for picking out digital picture frames, a hot new item for mom (at right is the Kodak EasyShare), as well as digital cameras, laptop computers and GPS navigation systems. There’s also a guide to cooking gear, including espresso makers, food processors and knives.
