I just thought the Times downplaying it and reporting what they did after speaking only to one of the accused kids and his advocates was irresponsible. It may not have been a major gang brawl, but dismissing it as just another example of kids being kids, as the Times did, strikes me as wrong.</description>

		<description>You expected an accurate story from the NY Times?  That was your first mistake.  Even if The NY Times did talk to the police, they would have disregarded what the police told them if it conflicted with the spin they wanted to put on the story.

Kids have always fought, but it does become disturbing when it crosses a certain line and becomes truly violent.</description>
